Ovals- taken from a fine specimen of an ecclesiastical flounce. "Point d'Argentan" made in Burano, Italy is said to have belonged to Paul de Gondy, Cardinal de Retz 1614-1679. Now belonging to Crown of Italy. Dover Publishing. Approx. 16" long

Unfinished work of Sister Felice Vittoria who was a Spanish Nun. Original textile was found in the Convent of Jesu Bambino. "Spanish Point" is pre1830 as the Spanish Monestaries dissolved. Italian lace originally but was taught to the Spanish Nuns.. 16" X 20"
